Rogue Point Version 1.0 Release Notes

Version 1.0 is Rogue Point’s “content complete” stamp after Early Access: Crowbar Collective’s original co-op tactical shooter now ships with five parametric maps, a headline Oil Rig boss, an expanded armoury, cosmetics, and community mod tools rooted in the studio’s Black Mesa / Unreal Editor history.

Launch trailer brief

The official trailer shows Clinic’s cramped corridors, the pyro MERX boss identity, and the tone of the full release. Use it as a visual checklist, then come back here for decision rules.

Map: Clinic

Clinic is the fifth map — confining corridors and medical interiors that punish tunnel vision and reward door discipline. If your squad’s habits were built on Airport lanes or Oil Rig walkways, Clinic will feel like a different sport. Read Clinic before ranking it as “just another CQB map.”

Boss: Oil Rig flame MERX

1.0 adds a dedicated Oil Rig boss: a flame-throwing MERX adversary that forces movement, utility timing, and focus fire under heat pressure. Do not treat it as a reskinned Heavy. Prep with Oil Rig boss and How to Beat the Oil Rig Boss, then revisit Oil Rig map for exposure crossings after the kill.

Weapons: Mule, KT50, A1M

  • Mule — small shotgun for breach and rusher deletion; see Mule.
  • KT50 — semi-automatic carbine for flexible mid-range work; see KT50.
  • A1M — semi-automatic marksman rifle for lane seats; see A1M.

All three must clear the same economy test as older guns: controllable under stress, ammo honest into extract, and not bought instead of armor or smoke. Update roles in Loadouts and ranks in Tier List.

Cosmetics

Chainmail armor, security guard uniform, and lab worker cosmetics arrived with 1.0. They are identity and collection — not campaign insurance. Keep spending rules on Cosmetics and Dead Drops aligned: fund survival first.

Mod support and Workshop

Crowbar Collective shipped mod support so players can create maps, modify locations, and build custom campaigns in Unreal Editor, then publish to Steam Workshop. Hosts pull Workshop content for joiners automatically when configured correctly. That is powerful and risky — read Mods & Workshop before turning your campaign night into an unvetted content roulette.

Achievements and controller notes

Steam achievements and controller support matured across the Early Access → 1.0 window. Use Achievements for completionist tracking and Controls for keyboard, mouse, and controller bind priorities. Controller quality can still vary by action — remap before finale nights.

Squad re-brief checklist

  1. One Clinic literacy raid with Mission Checklist
  2. One Oil Rig boss attempt with AP, smoke, and revive plan
  3. Trial each new weapon in a role seat, not all four at once
  4. Decide cosmetics budget only after extract utility is funded
  5. Workshop: trusted maps only, host confirms downloads before Ready

Updates hub, Campaign, Review, 5-Star Merc, and How to Play for the systems that did not reset when the version number flipped.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Rogue Point operators.

Is 1.0 just the Clinic map?

No. Clinic ships with a new Oil Rig boss, three weapons, cosmetics, and Steam Workshop mod support.

Do Early Access saves still matter?

Treat campaign gear and habits as still relevant, but revalidate loadouts against new maps, boss fire pressure, and weapon prices.

Should we enable mods on day one?

Only with trusted Workshop content and a host who understands download sync. Start vanilla Clinic and Oil Rig boss first.
